A move to Whisper TV for the Paralympics as an assistant producer
16 August 2021
I am thrilled to be joining Whisper TV as an assistant producer working on coverage of the 2020 Paralympic Games on Channel 4.
Hired as an assistant producer for the first time, I will help cut material for digital platforms. Based in Ealing, London, I will be part a huge team bringing the Paralympics exclusively to audiences across the UK.
Whisper TV was founded in 2010 by BAFTA-winning producer Sunil Patel, broadcaster Jake Humphrey and former F1 driver and current commentator David Coulthard. It celebrated its tenth anniversary last year and has produced a range of sports including NFL, Formula One, football and cricket.
They currently produce more sports highlight shows for terrestrial TV than any other broadcaster. In 2018, they were awarded the Paralympics contract with Channel 4’s Head of Sport Stephen Lyle saying they received an "exceptionally high calibre of proposals as part of the tender process".
He added "Whisper consistently demonstrated an innovative and ambitious approach with their creative plans for our coverage.” Last month, Channel 4 launched a major new advertising campaign for the Games, titled Super.Human.
I can't wait to get going with Whisper and it is a really emotional moment to be awarded my first ever contract as an assistant producer. It is an honour to be representing disabled people and I'm so excited to be a part of another global sporting event.
